I’ve been working in the online advertising business for over 5 years now, and I have some conflicting feeling about the industry. I often think about all the other cool stuff my incredibly talented coworkers and I could be creating instead of ads. This is a poignant article that captured my sentiments.

Check out these amazing tunes from Funk Archaeology
Some of my favorite musical genres from the 60s and 70s tend to have terrible lyrical content, psych, funk, metal etc… this is one of the reasons I am always excited to discover foreign music from this era…. I can listen to the singing as pure gibberish and not have to put up with drugged out and misguided spiritual nonsense lyrics...

My buddy Lawrence makes some awesome boutique FX pedals. Here is a demo video for his latest pedal, a momentary feedback looper. He brought some out for us to mess around with tonight, and they sounds and look fantastic. The new batch have a cool, hand painted, color fade finish. Check out his blog and buy the pretty pedals.

This is a neat little instalation we found down in Battery Park. I imagine a city filled with instalations such as this, enlightening people to there suroundings and creating a brighter, friendlier comute. Recently I have been facinated by the theory of play. My interest was recently peaked by a TED Talk by Dr Stuart Brown at a conference called Serious Play that took place last year. It seems...
